Job Summary

The logistics clerk coordinates shipments, while also handling related documentation, communicating with brokers and tracking on time and in full statistics. Ensuring compliance with company policies. Key duties include preparing and tracking shipments, scheduling deliveries, and resolving discrepancies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist with creating entering and following up on purchase orders.

· Review incoming orders and assist with setting ship dates.

· Work with shipping brokers to set appointments and follow up with tracking.

· Maintain accurate inventory records and update them after shipments and deliveries.

· Coordinate the flow of materials between departments and help with storage and distribution.

· Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments.

· Prepare shipping documents, labels, and related paperwork.

· Handle returns and ensures proper processing.

· Communicate with carriers, customers, and warehouse staff to provide shipment status updates.

· Enter data into logistics and inventory systems and generate reports.

· Resolve any shipment or inventory discrepancies.

· Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and procurement policies.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency with relevant software, such as Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.

· Strong technical, analytical and systems skills are required

· Ability to learn quickly, work independently, multi-task and prioritize under pressure

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Occasionally required to sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; bend, lift or climb. Finger dexterity required and hand coordination required. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust or focus.

· Able to sit for long periods of time

· Occasionally required to lift moderate weights (10-25 pounds)

· Protective equipment is required if going out to production floor including hair nets, steel-toed boots, and protective hearing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
