Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of our fleet of light and heavy vehicles. The role serves as the primary point of contact between the Site Admin/Logistics Manager, OEM workshops, drivers, vendors, and management, ensuring minimum downtime and maximum vehicle availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for light and heavy vehicles.
- Plan and dispatch vehicles for maintenance and repairs; coordinate with repair bays and technicians.
- Monitor repair quality, diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely job completion.
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors, OEM workshops, and service providers.
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle repairs, inspections, service history, and maintenance costs.
- Minimize vehicle breakdowns and ensure maximum fleet availability.
- Prepare and maintain breakdown trackers; discuss findings and corrective actions with the Maintenance Head.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or major breakdowns and recommend preventive measures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in vehicle maintenance or fleet management.
- Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance planning and breakdown management.
