Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing support to our warehouse operations. The Logistics Coordinator will coordinate receiving and shipping operations in our finished goods. They will be a liaises, services and build relationships with internal and external clients and customers. Our goals are to make our processes as efficient as possible, and maintain good relationships with suppliers, distributors and vendors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

INBOUND LOGISTICS

  • Coordinate the receipt of all inbound shipments of raw goods and transfers into the warehouse, including all documentation, system updates and internal and external communication
  • Facilitate carrier operations and delivery appointments
  • Maintain shipment histories and document files
  • Oversee supplier compliance (Pre-notice of shipments, On-time delivery, Proper packaging and labeling)
  • Work with suppliers to resolve overage/shortage & damage issues and file freight claims
  • Update management on inbound freight metrics

OUTBOUND LOGISTICS

  • Schedule carriers to pick up orders
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding shipments, tracking, and delivery times.
  • Create inventory Reports for Clients
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Ensure accuracy of orders that have been pulled by the order pickers.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documents, including bills of lading and EDI files.
  • Upload tracking numbers into our system for each pickup.
  • Correspond with carriers regarding scheduling pick-ups and making sure they are arriving with enough space on their trucks to accommodate for space that will be consumed by the orders we have that day.
  • The Logistics Coordinator performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with best practices in supply chain management
  • 2-3 Years Logistics Experience
  • Familiar with MS Excel and Outlook
  • Comfort using common logistics management software, such as Plex
  • Understanding of both warehouse and transportation management
  • Capacity to multitask
