Role Overview

The Material Coordinator / Scheduler III is responsible for coordinating materials, services, and vendor support for industrial plant operations. This role focuses on purchase order creation, material master data management, vendor coordination, and cross-functional support across multiple facilities. The position operates primarily onsite at a primary plant location and provides limited support to additional regional sites as needed.

This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong SAP proficiency, industrial experience, and the ability to interface effectively with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders for vendor services and materials, including chemicals and specialty services
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material IDs for warehouse inventory
  • Coordinate with vendors to source materials, gather quotes, schedule services, and resolve issues
  • Serve as a key point of contact for plant personnel including engineers, chemists, planners, schedulers, operators, and craft teams
  • Support material coordination activities across multiple regional plants as required
  • Perform occasional plant walkdowns to validate materials, support vendor activities, and assess equipment needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity within SAP and related systems
