We are looking for a self-starting, highly motivated administrative professional to join our Team. Main character qualities include detail orientation, organization, and an individual that works well in a team environment.

In this crucial role, the Logistics Coordinator will manage the daily delivery schedule and dispatching of drivers transporting bulk material to local customers and job sites. This role is responsible for assigning drivers to local routes ensuring same day completion, and verifying photos and invoices are uploaded accurately. The Logistics Coordinator works from the office and serves as the central point of communication between customers and drivers to ensure the movement of material is delivered smoothly and efficiently.

Shipment Planning & Coordination

• Provide accurate and timely quotes with a focus on securing the best possible pricing and service level.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments to meet both customer delivery requirements and internal priorities.
• Coordinate logistics for final product delivery, ensuring on-time, damage-free arrivals to customer homes, construction job sites and other destinations.
• Manage end-to-end customer communication related to shipments, including pre-shipment confirmation of delivery details and site readiness, as well as post-delivery follow-ups to ensure successful receipt and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers throughout the day.
• Coordinate routes to maximize efficiency for same day completion.
• Communicate with drivers to resolve delays, issues, or changes in scope of delivery.
• Monitors route time intervals for gaps.
• Verify delivery completion photos are uploaded correctly.
• Ensure invoices are completed and submitted the same day.
• Update internal systems with delivery status, notes, and documentation.
• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies to procure necessary materials and negotiate favorable terms.
• Plan and execute demand planning strategies to meet customer requirements.
• Utilize transportation management systems to optimize freight movement and track shipments.
• Oversee yard operations, dispatching and scheduling of deliveries.
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and logistics.
• Balances the distribution of hours between drivers.
• Monitors driver times to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Maintain clear communication with management regarding daily operations.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to maintain adequate inventory levels of bulk material in yard.
• Work with yard personnel to ensure distribution of material is loaded correctly.
• Coordinate the transportation to bulk material from overstock yard.
• Perform various additional tasks as directed by management

Qualifications:

• Two years of prior logistics, dispatch, or operations experience preferred.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using Excel for reporting purposes.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and follow-through.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Education:

• High School diploma or GED

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
