Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Bakersfield, California. In this position, you will be responsible for managing complex shipping processes, ensuring the smooth movement of goods, and coordinating with various stakeholders. This position is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a background in logistics or distribution within the agriculture industry.


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate shipping processes and execute instructions based on sales contracts to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

• Monitor vessel schedules, bookings, and tracking, and maintain communication with shipping terminals.

• Assess the performance of third-party drayage firms and provide actionable feedback to enhance efficiency.

• Prepare and submit master bills of lading to steamship lines to secure placement onto vessels.

• Collect, validate, and manage booking, container, and tracking data to maintain shipment accuracy.

• Create necessary in-house documents, such as packing lists, invoices, phytosanitary certificates, and other shipment-related paperwork.

• Input and submit shipping information into Customs and Border Patrol systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate schedules with cotton warehouses, trucking companies, rail yards, and shipping lines to resolve logistical challenges.

• Utilize software tools including Windows 10, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF applications to manage data and prepare documentation.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address and resolve shipment-related issues.

• Proven expertise in logistics coordination, including vessel tracking, terminal scheduling, and bookings.

• Proficiency in creating and managing shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and certificates.

• Familiarity with Customs and Border Patrol systems and regulatory compliance processes.

• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in coordinating schedules across warehouses, rail yards, and shipping lines.

• Advanced computer skills with experience in Windows 10, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF management.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
