Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time

Position Overview

Horstmeyer Farm & Garden is seeking a highly organized and adaptable Logistics Coordinator to manage local delivery scheduling and inbound shipment tracking. This role is critical to ensuring products move efficiently from vendors to our facility and from our facility to our customers.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving logistical challenges, communicates well with customers and team members, and can quickly adjust to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor incoming shipments from vendors and carriers
  • Communicate with suppliers and transportation providers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules
  • Receive and process customer requests for local deliveries
  • Schedule and coordinate local delivery orders
  • Build efficient daily delivery routes based on service areas, truck capacity, and delivery priorities
  • Work closely with warehouse, sales, and delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
  • Update delivery schedules and routes as changes occur throughout the day
  • Resolve customer delivery concerns and provide timely status updates
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and transportation documentation
  • Assist with process improvements to increase delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction

QualificationsRequired

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with computers and common business software
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple departments
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred

  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, routing, or supply chain operations
  • Experience working in retail, agricultural, or distribution environments
  • Knowledge of delivery routing and scheduling software
