Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods and materials throughout the supply chain, ensuring efficient transportation and distribution processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of logistics operations.

Duties

• Coordinate and oversee transportation management activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Utilize transportation management systems to optimize routes and manage freight costs.
• Implement category management strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Oversee materials handling processes to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with distribution centers to streamline order fulfillment and improve service levels.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods.
• Handle dispatching duties, ensuring that shipments are scheduled and executed efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to fulfill orders promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
• Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of distribution center operations and best practices in order fulfillment.
• Strong skills in transportation management, including the use of relevant software tools.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Logistics Coordinator Skills and Qualifications:
Problem-solving skills, Ability to prioritize, High attention to detail, Ability to analyze data and understand connections, Talent for recognizing the opportunities for process improvement in those connections, Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience in Customer Service, Experience in Logistics, Bachelor's degree preferred, Experience often may substitute for education. Knowledge in Quickbooks is a plus. Fully English - With secondary language Spanish is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
