As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Logistics Coordinator / Carrier Compliance Specialist to join our operations team.

Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator / Carrier Compliance Specialist plays a dual role — managing truckload shipments from start to finish and ensuring all carriers meet the company’s compliance and safety standards. This individual will be responsible for booking freight, maintaining carrier relationships, monitoring performance, and overseeing all compliance documentation to keep our carrier network safe and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination:

  • Source, negotiate, and book truckload carriers to move customer freight efficiently and on schedule
  • Track and monitor shipments, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery
  • Communicate proactively with customers and carriers regarding load status and issue resolution
  • Enter and manage shipment data in the company’s Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and service consistency

Carrier Compliance:

  • Onboard new carriers by collecting and verifying documentation (W-9, COI, authority, safety ratings, etc.)
  • Ensure carriers meet all company safety and insurance requirements before dispatch
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the carrier database and monitor expirations for insurance, authority, and compliance documents
  • Conduct periodic audits of carrier files to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Work closely with risk management and operations to mitigate potential service or liability issues
  • Monitor FMCSA and safety rating updates, removing or restricting non-compliant carriers as necessary

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, truckload brokerage, or carrier compliance (3PL experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and carrier onboarding requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
