Position Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods. This role supports shipping, receiving, inventory control, and transportation scheduling while operating forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. The Logistics Coordinator ensures accurate documentation, timely order fulfillment, and smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including scheduling carriers and preparing required documentation.
- Verify, inspect, and record all incoming materials and outgoing products.
- Ensure shipments are packed, labeled, and loaded according to company standards and transportation regulations.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and participate in root-cause investigations.
Forklift & Material Handling
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to load/unload trucks and move materials.
- Organize and stage materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate transportation and communicate with freight carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and ensure on-time performance.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout and improving workflow efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare shipping manifests, bills of lading, packing lists, and other logistics documents.
- Maintain accurate logs for inbound/outbound shipments and inventory adjustments.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors on order status, shortages, and operational issues.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, and company safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous material handling requirements, if applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in logistics or supply chain a plus).
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution environments.
- Valid forklift certification and demonstrated safe operating history.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in warehouse conditions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
