Position Title: Logistics & Distribution Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics & Distribution Coordinator to oversee and manage distribution operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth flow of goods from warehouses to distributors and customers while maintaining timely deliveries, cost efficiency, safety standards, and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to the market while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Coordinate and manage distribution-related activities involving transporters, warehouse teams, drivers, and logistics coordinators.
• Develop and implement distribution strategies to optimize delivery performance, improve customer/distributor satisfaction, and reduce operational costs.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate closely with Sales and Supply Chain teams to ensure product availability and avoid stock shortages or overstocking.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure reliable and efficient logistics services.
• Track, analyze, and report key distribution KPIs, including delivery timelines, inventory accuracy, vehicle utilization, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health, safety, and environmental regulations across all distribution activities.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to delayed, damaged, or incomplete shipments and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Customer Service to align delivery requirements with business objectives.
• Assist in preparing and managing distribution budgets while ensuring adherence to cost targets.
• Support the implementation and effective utilization of distribution systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transport Management Systems (TMS) for improved tracking, reporting, and communication.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of distribution processes, transportation management, and inventory control.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage operational priorities effectively.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and distribution/logistics management software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance standards within logistics operations.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience in FMCG or a fast-moving distribution environment will be preferred.
