Transport In charge – Job Description
1. Vehicle & Fleet Management
- Oversee day-to-day transportation operations and ensure optimal vehicle utilization.
- Manage company vehicles, maintain vehicle records, logbooks, fuel usage, and trip sheets.
- Plan and schedule vehicle movements for deliveries, pickups, and staff transportation.
2. Maintenance & Compliance
- Ensure all vehicles undergo regular servicing, maintenance, and timely repairs.
- Monitor fitness certificates, insurance renewals, permits, emission tests, and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with workshops, service providers, and vendors.
3. Driver Supervision
- Manage, assign duties, and supervise drivers.
- Maintain driver attendance, discipline, route planning, and adherence to safety rules.
- Conduct periodic training for drivers on safety, guidelines, and company procedures.
4. Safety & Fuel Management
- Implement safety protocols for vehicle operations and ensure strict adherence.
- Monitor fuel consumption, prevent misuse, and maintain fuel reports.
- Track GPS, route optimization, and emergency support where needed.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, maintenance, and expenses.
- Generate daily/weekly transport reports for management.
- Ensure proper documentation for logistics movements, delivery challans, and material tracking.
6. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with internal departments for vehicle requirements.
- Liaise with external agencies, transporters, and suppliers for logistics needs.
- Respond promptly to transport-related issues, delays, or breakdowns.
7. Skill Requirements
- Strong knowledge of fleet management, transport regulations, and route planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, GPS tracking systems, and basic documentation.
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
