  • Act as a strategic partner to the retail, e-commerce, procurement, and merchandising functions to ensure seamless product availability across channels.

Warehouse & Distribution Operations

  • Lead all warehouse operations, ensuring optimal efficiency in receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory accuracy, picking productivity, space utilization, and on-time order fulfillment.
  • Ensure that warehouse layouts, storage systems, and automation solutions are designed to support current and future operational needs.

  • Lead the design and implementation of an Operational Excellence framework within logistics and warehousing functions to drive productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Leverage automation, warehouse management systems (WMS), and advanced analytics to enhance operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Benchmark performance against industry best practices and drive corrective action plans to sustain excellence.

Logistics Planning & Inventory Management

  • Lead the logistics planning team to forecast warehouse capacity, labor needs, and resource allocation based on business seasonality and promotional activity.
  • Oversee end-to-end inventory management, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and availability across all warehouse and retail locations.
  • Coordinate with demand planning, procurement, and merchandising teams to balance service level expectations with inventory and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement replenishment and stock movement strategies to optimize working capital and reduce inventory holding costs.

3PL & Vendor Collaboration

  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers responsible for transportation, ensuring alignment with service level agreements (SLAs) and performance targets.
  • Collaborate closely with external logistics partners and internal teams to ensure cost-efficient and reliable logistics operations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large logistics and warehouse management team, fostering a performance-oriented culture focused on accountability, safety, and efficiency.
  • Build cross-functional collaboration between warehouse, logistics planning, and other supply chain functions.
  • Ensure all team members are trained on operational excellence, health & safety regulations, and compliance standards.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Develop and manage the annual logistics budget, controlling costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Analyze operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Drive key initiatives in cost optimization, automation, and sustainability within the logistics function.

Systems, Tools & Technology

  • Partner with IT and ERP teams to ensure efficient functioning and continuous enhancement of warehouse management systems (preferably SAP).
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to improve decision-making and forecast operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in large scale warehouse/logistics operations and logistics planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
