Logistics Generalist

As Logistics Generalist, you will be responsible for managing all logistics operations, including critical processes related to the Aegean Free Zone, customs procedures, shipment coordination, documentation, and cost control, while ensuring compliance with customer and legal requirements.
Your responsibilities will be to:
  • Processes all O.E.M. and aftermarket customer shipping documents, procurement issues, customs paperwork, legal documents, and documentation of all shipments, including archiving of files.
  • Accesses and operates Aegean Free Zone & Broker’s online information systems for updates, inventory control, and program maintenance.
  • Arranges and coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper tracking, monitoring, and timely processing of releases and ASN’s in line with customer specifications.
  • Works closely with warehouse, planners, buyers, customers, suppliers, and Customs Broker Company to handle customs clearance, supplier return material processes, and to coordinate all changes internally to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Controls invoices of forwarders and customs brokers, all costs related to customs procedures, and informs the Finance department. Makes budget studies regarding annual logistics costs and manages logistics tender processes.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of logistics-related data on the ERP system (e.g., customs code, country of origin, HS code information) and weekly customs process tracking reports (ATR, compensatory tax, inward processing, returns).
  • Manages consignment warehouse sales, scrap processes (including Chamber of Industry applications), and customs processes of supplier return material.
  • Communicates regularly, clearly, and professionally with all logistics suppliers; supports technical departments, suppliers, and customers in overcoming logistics procedures through customs.
  • Supports the department in accomplishing key performance indicators, reporting KPIs to PC&L Supervisor, and optimizing customs clearance costs, routes, load capacity, and transport costs with brokers and forwarders.
  • Manages insurance follow-up processes for damaged materials delivered or received, including tracking and recovery of relevant costs.
  • Ensures acceptance and compliance with customer-specific requirements regarding shipments in all relevant actions.
Our requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, International Trade, Business Administration or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in import–export operations, with significant experience in a Free Zone environment.
  • Experience in logistics operations or with a logistics service provider.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
