Oversees team members to assure tasks are being accomplished in timely manner. Leads logistic crews in major tasks/projects. Logistics leader is the first form of contact in logistic services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Event set-ups/breakdowns, including tents, stages, floor covering, barricades, tables, chairs etc.

Office moves, including furniture, file cabinets, etc. Dormitory moves including beds/bunking beds, desks, chests, etc.

Operation of floor machines as necessary, and other tasks as assigned.

Operates forklifts, mechanical lift gates and mechanical platforms to facilitate loading and unloading of materials, as appropriate to the areas of operation.

Operates a large moving truck in the transportation of moving materials, as necessary.

Will assume Lead Foreman position if Lead is not available.

Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

May serve as the main contact person in communications with customers regarding work orders.

May train employees on safety, moving techniques, and MSMU policies.

Snow removal duties will be necessary seasonally.

A uniform, issued by MSMU will be required.

Will assist with grounds duties as needed.

May be asked to assist any other department within the campus community and will be required to perform any other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.

Must be willing and able to work independently without supervision.
Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
Job Hours:

Hours will vary depending upon University events but will typically range between 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with varying weekly schedules.

Overtime during weekdays, weekends and holidays will be required as needed.

A weekend rotation schedule will be implemented depending upon staffing, workloads and University events.

Any schedule may be adjusted as needed and some overnights will be required with inclement weather, university events or campus emergencies.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads up and down stairs.

Must be able to work in all types of weather.
Must be able to work well as a team.
Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED and 0-3 years of experience required.
Salary/Benefits:
Minimum Pay Rate: $16.00/Hour.
