Logistics Manager

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose:

Oversee and manage all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management, to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and materials that meet the company’s standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage transportation providers and negotiate contracts to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Oversee warehouse operations and inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, safety, and quality standards.
  • Analyze logistics data and prepare reports to improve performance and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align logistics with company goals.
  • Lead, train, and develop logistics staff to enhance team performance.
  • Monitor budgets, expenses, and forecast logistics costs effectively.
  • Handle customs clearance and documentation for imports and exports when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office applications.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and warehouse environments.
  • May require occasional travel to suppliers, clients, or logistics partners.
