Logistics Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION –

The Logistic Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the movement, storage, and distribution of dairy products and raw materials. The role ensures timely deliveries, cost optimization, cold-chain compliance, and smooth coordination between production, warehouses, transporters, and retail outlets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of dairy products to company outlets and customers

· Manage fleet operations, route planning, and vehicle utilization

· Coordinate with transporters, vendors, and warehouse teams

· Maintain cold-chain standards for perishable products

· Monitor inventory movement and coordinate with stores and production teams

· Control logistics costs and improve operational efficiency

· Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory norms

· Prepare logistics reports and MIS for management review

· Handle logistics-related issues, delays, and escalations effectively

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Graduate in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Operations Management or equivalent(Post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

· Strong understanding of dairy or FMCG logistics

· Knowledge of cold-chain management

· Good communication and coordination skills

· Ability to work under pressure and meet strict delivery timelines

LEVEL OF COMPUTER LITERACY REQUIRED

· Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and email communication

· Experience with ERP / inventory or logistics management software preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

5–8 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in dairy, FMCG, or food industry
