Position: Logistics Manager

Location: Qatar – WH

As a Logistics Manager at ABYAT Qatar branch , you will be is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. They ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery of products to customers while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational goals and objectives.
• Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
• Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, to ensure efficient and safe handling of products.
• Coordinate transportation activities, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight negotiation, to optimize delivery schedules and minimize costs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues or delays in delivery.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards and customer expectations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and customs regulations.
• Monitor and control logistics costs to achieve budgetary targets and improve overall efficiency.
• Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement measures to enhance logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost per unit.
• Work closely with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
• Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to logistics operations.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to logistics operations, such as supply chain disruptions or transportation delays.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the retail or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in logistics software, such as ERP systems and warehouse management systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with government electronic sites related to logistics and transportation.
• Knowledge of customs clearance processes and regulations.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with external partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
