We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Officer in Ankara as part of our Humanitarian Assistance programme on behalf of the Australian Government. As a successful candidate, you will contribute to this programme by providing direct operational support to our clients in Türkiye and your case manager colleagues and Operations Manager in Ankara.
As a key member of the regional team in Türkiye you will support the Regional Manager and Operations Manager with the monitoring of our supply chain in Türkiye ensuring services are provided in line with contractual requirements. You will support your case manager colleagues with direct refugee client engagement when there are any issues with communication, service coordination or service delivery.
The Opportunity:
· Expectation Management: ensuring refugee clients and their families understand the service scope and case life cycle including the management of, and attendance at, critical service appointments.
· Continued awareness and consideration of the political, religious, ethnic, and social sensitivities and factors that apply to refugee client customers and their host countries.
· Ensure that the unique needs of the Refugee and Humanitarian Visa clients are always a factor in the delivery of all services.
· Ensure that service delivery in remote locations is consistent with contractual requirements and expectations, this includes the use of innovative ways to monitor remote service delivery.
· Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement, problem solving and quality control
· Adherence to relevant policies and procedures and compliance with legislation, rules, and regulations
What you’ll need to succeed:
· Working knowledge of supply chain process fundamentals, including service monitoring and evaluation.
· Full driving license and highly experienced commercial driving skills with passengers.
· Be a clear, frequent and pro-active communicator with a high standard of written and oral business language skills in Turkish, English, and Arabic. Proficiency in another language/s is advantageous.
· Able to work flexible hours recognising that some services may be delivered outside of regular business hours (essentially airport and accommodation related activities)
· Be a strategic thinker who is solutions focused with the ability to problem solve situations at short notice and with limited oversight.
· Advanced use of the MS Office Suite in programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to become proficient with internal case management (Move Maestro) and safety systems (TRAC).
