Logistics Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Officer to manage and coordinate the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and goods. The role ensures efficient logistics operations, accurate inventory control, and timely support to project requirements while maintaining compliance with company procedures and HSE standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills in English along with Hindi or Tagalog, enabling effective coordination with diverse teams, suppliers, and transport providers.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including transport booking and documentation
  • Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS/ERP systems or Excel
  • Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies

Material Receipt and Dispatch

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and storage
  • Prepare and validate dispatch documentation

Transport and Fleet Coordination

  • Coordinate with transport providers and internal fleet for timely deliveries
  • Monitor transport performance and delivery schedules

Procurement Support

  • Track purchase orders and expedite urgent deliveries
  • Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams

Documentation and Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain logistics documentation such as delivery notes, waybills, invoices, and customs documents (if applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with project teams and site supervisors to fulfill material requirements
  • Resolve logistics and supply issues efficiently

Cost Control

  • Monitor freight and logistics costs
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities such as route optimization and shipment consolidation

HSE and Safety

  • Ensure safe handling and storage of materials
  • Follow HSE procedures and report incidents or near misses

Continuous Improvement

  • Support initiatives to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency

Requirements Education and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or materials coordination
  • Experience in oil & gas, construction, or industrial sectors preferred
  • Experience with WMS/ERP systems is an advantage

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of inventory control and logistics documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of transport regulations and customs procedures
  • Good command of English (written and spoken); additional language skills are an advantage

Location: Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: Up to SAR 4500/month (Full Package)
