Logistics Officer

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare, verify, and submit accurate customs documentation (invoices, air waybills, packing lists, HS codes) in compliance with UAE customs regulations and international trade standards.
  • Use JDL and other customs platforms to manage documentation and ensure adherence to UAE, GCC, and international trade laws, including bonded zones and exemptions.
  • Handle import/export clearance for air, sea, and land shipments (FCL, LCL, break bulk, B2B, B2C), coordinating with customs authorities, free zones (e.g., JAFZA), and mainland UAE.
  • Calculate and process customs duties/taxes accurately, ensuring timely payments and maintaining reconciled financial records.
  • Prepare invoices for duties, taxes, and clearance fees; coordinate with finance to resolve disputes and ensure collections.
  • Act as the main client contact for customs procedures, duty obligations, and shipment updates, liaising with officials, freight forwarders, and vendors.
  • Monitor shipments from port to warehouse, manage GCC cross-border logistics, and coordinate truck allocation and tracking.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics, customs clearance, and trade compliance in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations, GCC trade laws, and HS code classification.
  • Proficiency in JDL and other customs/billing systems.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
