With 11 sales offices across 5 continents and multiple strategically located production sites and storage hubs, JAS continues to scale its global supply chain capabilities. We are now seeking a Logistics Officer to join our growing operations team in Egypt.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site logistics role responsible for handling shipping operations, customs documentation, and coordination of local and international deliveries. The successful candidate will:

• Coordinate import and export shipments (sea, air, road) from Egypt to multiple global destinations.
• Manage logistics documentation including BLs, COO, packing lists, shipping invoices, certificates, and customs clearances.
• Track shipments end-to-end, ensuring timely dispatch, arrival, and delivery to clients and storage sites.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and internal teams.
• Monitor container demurrage, detention, and port storage to minimize penalties and operational costs.
• Support inventory management and stock movement between Egypt facilities and export hubs.
• Prepare logistics costings, compare quotations, and recommend cost-optimised routes and carriers.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and generate regular shipping reports for management.

Qualifications

🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

💼 3–7+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or international trade (chemical or industrial sector preferred).

📝 Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and Egyptian customs procedures.

🚢 Experience working with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clearing agents.

📊 Ability to plan, prioritize, and problem-solve quickly in fast-moving operational environments.

💬 Strong English & Arabic communication skills; required.

💻 Proficient in MS Office (Excel essential); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
