Logistics Sales Manager - Freight Forwarder (35982)

A global freight forwarding company in the Elk Grove Village, IL area is seeking a Logistics Sales Manager to join their sales and business development department. The ideal candidate will have at lease 3 years experience with freight forwarding/3PL business development as well as experience/ knowledge of freight forwarding operations.

Logistics Sales Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Make appointments with new clients and travel to the locations to develop new business
  • Establish and manage sales accounts by communicating with existing and new clients
  • Research potential leads and develop new business relationships
  • Understand specification of service, present quotations to customers, and negotiate pricing contracts
  • Communicate with clients regarding satisfaction, documentation, and compliance
  • Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

Logistics Sales Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or professional certification, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, either operations or sales
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be able to meet new customers and build relationships
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in both written and verbal English
  • Must be able to travel domestically with occasional overnight travel
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
