Logistics Sourcing Manager

Purpose Of The Job

This role is responsible for Co-creating and implementing Procurement Strategies for Transportation portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring the Transportation portfolio sourcing strategies make sure competitive, delivering world class service levels, improving on safety & sustainability of operations, and building purpose-led partnerships for warehousing services across the markets.

You will be responsible for category management services including, but not limited to, Category Strategy development, strategic sourcing, client stakeholder management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost and performance improvement to our strategic clients. The ideal candidate for this position must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment along with other bright and motivated individuals.

Key Accountabilities

You are expected to lead the strategy creation and execution with Country leads to Deliver on the key matrices of World class service, Competitive Cost, Safety and Sustainability by:

• Working with markets leads to understanding business requirements across countries for Cost, Quality, Safety, Service, sustainability, and how it translates to sourcing specifications.
• Leadership role in key procurement activities, including RFx development and execution, Statement of Work (SOW) and contract drafting, and pricing and contract negotiations (new client initiatives).
• If managing direct materials - Leading operational activities including Long term capacity planning, escalations in operational service & quality issues, material resilience management, price forecasting and business partnering.
• Working with markets leads to understanding spend as well as the total cost of ownership for the company in the market.
• Finding the right sources for generating new / leveraging existing competitive insights for benchmarking of current cost, sourcing specifications & partner base vs market to identify areas of opportunities and risks
• Co-creating the sourcing strategy to optimally meet the sourcing specifications, who to buy from, how to buy, when to buy
• Identifying and implementing next generation tools and process to optimize sourcing practices
• Building team capability by driving key learning and development programmes.
• Working closely with Internal Procurement teams and Operations Excellence teams monitor performance and drive key initiatives.
• Creating an inclusive team environment.

Key Contacts: You will work along with multiple Internal and External Stakeholders, key being: Internal Logistics Procurement and Excellence Teams, Finance Teams, IT Teams and Suppliers

Travel: The role will involve regional travel for 20% of the year

Skills:

An ideal candidate is expected to have:

• Strong analytical skills
• Financial analysis and reporting
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English and any Indian language preferable
• Portfolio Strategy Development and strong negotiation skills
• Strong strategic abilities coupled with analytical curiosity and collaborative style.
• Ensuring team is managing master data management to the required quality standards.
• High degree of motivation, the ability to prioritize and self-direct, strong business acumen and sound interpersonal skills.
• Digital sourcing Platforms knowledge

Education And Experiences

The Candidate should have

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain Management
• Or a master’s degree with specialization in Procurement / Supply Chain with at least 8 years experience in Procurement / Supply Chain Management
• Relevant Experience in Procurement/operations of Transportation Services.
