Job Title:- Logistics Specialist 1

Location:- SA-EASTERN PROVINCE-DHAHRAN-KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDUL AZIZ SCIENCE PARK (KASP)

Duration: 12 Months

Essential Responsibilities:-

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Operational Oversight

• Supervise daily logistics operations, including strong logistic tracking and independent ownership.

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with Incoterms and customs regulations.

2. Vendor & Carrier Management

• Negotiate and manage carrier contracts, rates, and service agreements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners to ensure reliable service.

3. Manage and expedite air , sea, and land transportation operations

4. Project & Special Cargo Handling

• Plan and execute transportation for out-of-gauge, breakbulk ,high-value, or time-sensitive cargo.

• Ensure proper risk assessment and contingency planning for complex shipments.

5. Process Improvement & Cost Control

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the logistics network.

• Map, review, and streamline logistics processes to improve speed, accuracy, and visibility.

6 Strong knowledge in MS Office for tracking and reports ( Excel ,Power point etc.…. )

7. Reporting & Performance Analysis

• Monitor KPIs such as transit time, on-time delivery, and freight spend.

• Provide regular reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and improvement actions.

Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-

•Years of experience: 3 to 5 years and above

•Field of experience: Freight forwarding & logistics sector

•Soft Skills: Communication , Problem solving , Teamwork , Independency & Strong lead

•Tools or Software (Required / Preferred): Oracle

•Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree

•Industry Background or Experience (Required / Preferred): Preferred oil & gas.

Desirable attributes of the worker (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-

-The worker must have Freight forwarding logistics background and strong communication skills.

-Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and documentation.

-Experience working with freight forwarders, transport vendors, and customs processes

-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory records.

-Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.

-Effective communication skills for coordination with workshop, field teams, and vendors.

-Problem solving mindset with the ability to identify delays, shortages, or discrepancies.

-Team oriented attitude with the ability to work in fast paced, operational environments.

-Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
