Logistics Specialist

Job Responsibilities

Warehouse Management

Oversee daily operations of the local warehouse, including inbound, outbound, sorting, stocktaking, and inventory control, ensuring alignment between records and actual stock.

Establish and optimize warehousing processes to improve storage and operational efficiency.

Transportation and Distribution

Coordinate transportation plans within Turkey and neighboring regions, ensuring goods are delivered to customers or partners on time and safely.

Monitor the transportation process, handle exceptions (delays, damages, losses, etc.), and communicate promptly with relevant parties.

Import and Export Logistics Coordination

Liaise with international freight forwarders, customs brokers, and relevant government authorities; track customs clearance procedures and document processing for import/export cargo.

Coordinate transshipment from ports/airports to warehouses, optimizing cost and lead time.

Cost and Vendor Management

Manage and evaluate local logistics suppliers, carriers, and warehousing partners; conduct regular negotiations on pricing and service terms.

Control logistics costs to ensure tasks are completed within budget.

Systems and Reporting

Use ERP or WMS systems for logistics data entry, tracking, and inquiries.

Produce regular reports on inventory, transportation, and operational analysis to support company decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Logistics Management, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. 2+ years of experience in warehousing and logistics operations; experience in import/export trade and cross-border logistics is a plus.

Familiarity with the local logistics environment and relevant regulations in Turkey; understanding of international logistics processes and documentation requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems (ERP/WMS, etc.).

Strong data analysis skills and cost-control awareness.
