Logistics Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Review and prepare the L/C, prepare docs under LC terms
• Prepare all the necessary documents required for smooth transit of the products from the origin to desired destination
• Monitor the end-to-end procedure in export/import i.e. from paper removal to handover of Shipment to import i.e. from receiving instruction to receiving goods to our warehouse or the given destination and ensure compliance with company and legal requirement
• Follow up Exit Documents and timely submission to the customs authority
• Liaise with the warehouse team to check on the availability of the products
• Review, select carriers and negotiate contracts and best rates to control logistics costs achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs/shipping quotes and efficiency
• Coordinate with ports, customs, RTA and concerned government departments to ensure the transition of product is unhampered
• Carry out the necessary documentation and system updating

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years relevant UAE experience in logistics operations, JAFZA experience preferable
• Experience in vehicle registration
• 3+ years of shipping, receiving warehouse operations, inventory management, and import/export operations experience
• Good understanding of Custom clearance, Compliance, Shipping documents, Supplier Negotiation, LCs, Knowledge of INCO terms
• Experience filing, experience processing shipments using UPS and FedEx software basic proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
• Quick learner with multi-tasking ability and adapt to a variety of challenges
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of time management and urgency
• Able to work independently and within a team
