Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end logistics processes, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory control, and warehousing.
- Coordinate the transportation and delivery of heavy machinery and construction equipment, ensuring compliance with JAFZA and UAE regulations.
- Liaise with shipping agents, freight forwarders, customs, and transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Prepare and manage all necessary shipping and import/export documentation in compliance with UAE customs regulations.
- Optimize the supply chain and logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Operations, and Finance) to ensure alignment of logistics activities with business objectives.
- Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to stakeholders on delivery status and resolving any issues.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with UAE laws, especially those relating to JAFZA Freezone and customs clearance.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, negotiating rates and service agreements as necessary.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and prepare regular reports on costs, efficiency, and delivery performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics, preferably within the heavy machinery or construction equipment sector.
- Solid knowledge of UAE import/export laws, customs regulations, and JAFZA Freezone compliance.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers, shipping agents, and customs officials.
- Proficient in logistics software and tools (e.g., SAP, WMS, TMS) and advanced in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Chinese will be an added advantage.
