Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team. The role is responsible for overseeing the company’s supply chain operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of logistics processes in the UAE, import/export regulations, customs clearance, and coordination with shipping lines and transporters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance and delivery of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolve delays, and provide regular status updates.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, customs declarations, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with UAE customs and international trade regulations.
- Optimize logistics costs by negotiating with service providers and monitoring freight rates.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and sales teams for timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics-related expenses.
- Support the team in planning and forecasting logistics requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in heavy machinery or trading companies.
- Strong knowledge of UAE import/export regulations and customs clearance procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic and/or Chinese is an advantage.
