Logistics Supervisor

Hexagon Purus Systems USA, a division of the company Hexagon Purus, focuses on designing and manufacturing systems, software, and zero emission e-Mobility vehicle integration for commercial Battery Electric Vehicles and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles.

We have an exciting opportunity and are currently seeking a Logistics Supervisor to work out of our modern Mesquite facility just outside Dallas, TX.


The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the logistics process, from raw materials receipt to finished product distribution. This is a critical role in sustaining the internal and external logistics flow and optimum material delivery routes. A current key element of this role is to supervise 15-25 temporary workers in a Kitting Project for our partners Hino.

This position requires strong management skills, team-minded cohesion, analytical prowess, and a keen eye for detail within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

This Logistics Supervisor role reports to the Canadian-based Vice President of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers, transportation companies, and other stakeholders to maintain logistics processes
  • Sustain material delivery routes to ensure kits are delivered to the assembly locations to meet production schedules
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing storage costs and obsolescence risks
  • Oversee the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments to meet production and customer demands
  • Select and negotiate contracts with transportation providers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
  • Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring proper receipt, storage, and handling of materials and finished products
  • Implement and maintain effective safety measures and best practices to help create a safe work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics and transportation of dangerous goods
  • Analyze logistics performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • 3+ years as a proven Logistics lead, supervisor or manager within a manufacturing environment

Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, including inventory management, transportation, and distribution (both internal and external).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate
  • Excellente communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis tools to make informed decisions and identify areas for improvement
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
