Description

Your responsibilities include supporting the daily management of operational duties and deputizing for the Operations Manager as required. You will prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station, supervise logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates, and ensure shipments meet or exceed operational KPIs. You will monitor coordinator and associate performance, coach team members, and collaborate with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations. You will communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise the bar on quality, and you may interview candidates for associate roles. You will brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, maintain attention to detail in administrative tasks, and measure and monitor workflows and daily metrics to assist with tracking, trending, and reporting on site performance."

You will also help with training and mentoring new Associates, follow up on and resolve process-related issues, and be flexible to work different shifts and overtime when needed. Together with the Operations Manager, you will ensure appropriate resourcing for the function, including training needs, absence and performance management, coaching, and ongoing monitoring of department productivity."

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance, coach staff, and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
• Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and improve quality of deliverables.
• Interview candidates for associate roles as required.
• Brief and monitor the workload of drivers and associates; ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately.
• Measure, monitor, and report on workflows and daily metrics; assist with tracking and trending site performance.
• Train and mentor new Associates; resolve process-related issues as needed.
• Be flexible to work different shifts and overtime; participate in staffing and resourcing activities with the Operations Manager.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience managing teams
• Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in logistics
• Experience with data analysis
