Job title: Logistics Supervisor
Pay: Starting at $31.11 - $33.34 an hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am to 2:30pm
Location: Tualatin, Oregon
The Logistics Supervisor supports the General Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing daily operations, personnel management, and customer relations to ensure excellent service and efficiency. The Logistics Supervisor will lead specific areas and teams at the location at the discretion of the General Manager.
This position reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with all Door & Millwork personnel.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required

Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record required

OSHA Certified Forklift License required

Experience in doors, millwork, building materials, or construction preferred

Knowledge of dispatching and fleet management principles

Knowledge of DOT weight, height, and length compliance requirements

Knowledge of door units, trim, and millwork handling best practices

Ability to read maps and optimize delivery routes

Strong time management and prioritization skills

Ability to supervise, motivate, and hold team accountable

Ability to work independently with high level of responsibility

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP/DDMS systems

Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision

Supervise and direct delivery drivers and delivery assistants
-
Establish performance expectations and hold team accountable

Enforce company policies, safety standards, and work rules

Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
-
Conduct ride-a-longs and job shadowing to improve team performance

Promote cross-training to create a well-rounded and flexible team

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer-first service

Assist in management efforts to reduce turnover and improve engagement
Shipping & Dispatch Operations

Efficiently schedule deliveries, backorders, and credit returns
-
Coordinate daily shipping schedule with sales, production, and yard teams
-
Schedule loads to maximize OTIF and route efficiency
-
Confirm delivery schedules with customers one day prior to delivery
-
Communicate daily delivery schedule to warehouse and drivers
-
Assist drivers with jobsite, routing, and delivery challenges
-
Manage overlength and overweight compliance requirements
-
Improve truck turn time and yard flow efficiency
-
Utilize ERP/Descartes systems for order entry, tracking, and dispatching
-
Manage inter-yard transfers as needed
Door & Millwork Product Oversight

Ensure proper handling and secure loading of doors, frames, trim, and specialty millwork
-
Monitor damage, cull, and claims; proactively implement reduction strategies
-
Ensure specialty and custom door units are protected during staging and transit
-
Maintain staging areas organized by route and delivery priority
-
Coordinate special delivery requirements for jobsite-ready door packages
Safety and Compliance
- Maintain a safe working environment in warehouse and yard
-
Enforce federally mandated Drug and Alcohol policies
-
Ensure daily forklift and truck inspections are completed and reviewed
-
Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, interstate commerce laws, and vehicle documentation
-
Ensure permits, licensing, insurance certificates, and truck books are current
-
Proactively address and report safety concerns
-
Conduct regular safety discussions with team
-
Lead the daily production meeting and stretch and flex for the shipping team
Inventory & Asset Management

Maintain appropriate inventory levels in coordination with purchasing

Assist with annual and cycle inventory counts
-
Ensure proper asset usage and accountability (forklifts, trucks, trailers)

Review productivity and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities

Monitor fuel and mileage reporting
Customer Service & Communication

Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers

Proactively communicate delivery delays or changes
-
Respond promptly to voicemails, emails, and phone calls
-
Coordinate closely with sales and production to improve delivery team performance

Facilitate team meetings and group discussions on best practices

Participate in site leadership discussions and decision-making

Address and resolve customer complaints related to delivery or shipping

Perform other related duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
