Logistics Supervisor or Assistant

About the Company : We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Logistics Assistant with at least 0.5-2 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a supply chain and logistics background. The role involves coordinating with the movement of shipments of import/export/cross trade and custom clearance dealing. The candidate must have an understanding background of the oilfield industry. The position requires close coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, and the internal supply chain team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. (Graduation year: within the last 3 years. "e.g., 2023-2026")

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate day to day given tasks which include shipment follow-up and preparing complete daily reports of entire movement.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, custom brokers, and have knowledge to deal with Government authorities in UAE.
• Organize and track shipments, heavy equipment, and equipment of rigs.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate bids, and negotiate with vendors to ensure best commercial terms.
• Prioritize and expedite urgent shipments for critical oilfield operations to avoid downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, sourcing documents, cost, and supplier evaluations.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Update ERP/Logistics systems and maintain proper archiving of delivery notes, custom documents, and complete documentation records.
• Willing to travel internationally and work in diverse environments.

Qualifications :

• Must be Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, and Logistics.
• 0.5-2 years of logistics experience in the oil and gas industry (Preferably in Dubai).
• UAE Driving License.

Required Skills :

• Professional in MS Office.
• ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) using logistics software for operation and cost records.
• Data Analysis and Forecasting for the logistics movement for improving efficiency.
• Efficiently monitoring the delivery fleets and efficiently scheduling.

Preferred Skills :

• Communication: Proficiency in English and Arabic is required; Chinese language skills are preferred.
• Quickly Resolving Damages or Shipment issues.
• Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ensuring Accuracy in day-to-day operations and records.
