Job Purpose:
To manage day-to-day site logistics activities like receiving, storing, issuing and tracking materials, equipment so that project work is supported on time, safely and with correct documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect and record incoming materials and equipment. Prepare GRNs and update site inventory registers.

Coordinate material movement from yard/temporary storage to work fronts and return unused material to stores.

Maintain accurate site stores records (physical and electronic), perform periodic cycle counts and support month-end stock reconciliation.

Track delivery schedules for PO line items, follow up with suppliers, transporters and CHA for timely dispatch and clearance.

Support inspection/expediting by arranging vendor QC checks / third-party inspection at site or vendor works.

Ensure materials are stored per handling and safety requirements, including hazardous materials controls and site access permissions.

Prepare and hand over packing lists, LRs, challans and other transport documentation to support customs/CHA queries for imports.

Liaise with procurement, expeditors, contracts and project teams to highlight critical shortages and obtain workarounds.

Help manage minor material claims, damages and short-counts. File incident/claim reports for escalation.

Maintain daily/weekly logistics status updates and simple Excel trackers for site leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma / Bachelor’s in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline.

3-4 years in site logistics / stores / expediting in project or EPC environments (oil & gas advantageous).

Good knowledge of material receiving procedures, GRN workflows and basic inventory reconciliation.

Familiar with Indian transport documentation, LR/GC, basic import documentation and packing/label requirements.

Strong coordination and communication skills; ability to work on site in remote locations.

Practical understanding of safety and site access controls; ability to follow HSE procedures.

Tools: MS Excel (intermediate), basic ERP experience (GRN/Material Receipt module) - SAP/Tally/Oracle preferred where available.

Local language proficiency preferred for effective on-site communication and coordination.
