Responsibilities:

The Logistics Team Lead will be an integral force of our order fulfillment process, coordinating teams handling inbound and outbound freight from our three manufacturing locations.

  • Receive raw materials, picking and preparing finished goods for shipments.
  • Coordinate international freight for outbound shipments.
  • Supervise loading of shipments of all modes, making sure shipments depart timely, complete, and documentation is accurate.
  • Provides backup support for Shipping Coordinator (including completion of domestic and international shipping paperwork).
  • Follow ISO procedures.
  • Participates in Supply Chain team critical metric reviews.
  • Conduct applicable training for Shipping team.
  • Shipping 5S and Safety program oversight.
  • Overtime availability required.

We expect to draw upon the following skills and qualifications:

  • Previous dock and forklift experience or previously held a production position at Mercury Plastics.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite. Prepare reports, worksheets, charts, schedules, procedures, and other data as necessary.
  • Ability to lead a team across multiple locations.
  • Ability to perform varied and repetitive warehouse tasks including operation of forklift, hand truck and manual lifting of boxes at least 50 pounds.
  • International Shipping Experience is a plus.
  • Enter shipping transactions into ERP Manufacturing and customer web-based systems.

  • Excellent customer service and strong problem-solving skills are necessary to be successful in this role. Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
