Logistics Team Leader

Key Responsibility

  • Operational Efficiency: Collaborates as an essential team member, contributing to operational tasks with flexibility and adaptability to daily assignments. Informs manager of any issues as they arise within timely manner.
  • Warehouse Procedure: Ensure that all the Warehouse processes (SOP) such as: Inbound & and outbound process , Warehouse operation and inventory management are followed correctly.
  • Execute Daily Operational Plan: Prepare and execute the daily plan accurately within agreed parameters.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory, handling goods, and keeping accurate warehouse records. This role ensures effective stock control, proper storage, and timely distribution according to company procedures.
  • Customer Relationship: Understands customer needs and builds strong collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Proactive Communication : Co-ordinates with planners, Sales, commercial operations, to ensure timely order delivery.
  • Delivery Documentation : Ensures that all necessary documents—such as route plans, delivery notes, invoices, RTV documents, Bayan, Ajeer documents etc. and instructions—are accurately prepared and provided to the driver prior to departure. Responsible for receiving documentation and addressing any complaints or various inquiries related to sales.

Task To-Do on Daily Basis

  • Works as an integral member of the team sharing both information and workload, and remain flexible with regards to tasks done on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that the Warehouse and premises are clean and tidy, organized, and in compliance with safety standards and regulation.
  • Prepare and execute daily delivery plan & Ensures all Pre-sell / cash van orders are processed accurately within agreed parameters.
  • Co-ordinates with sales, Merchandiser, and operation support department to ensure timely order delivery.
  • Handles ad hoc issues in floor in the picking and dispatch process.
  • Follows agreed service level agreements (SLA) with business partners.
  • Move the Short expiry products to respective location and latterly move to Riyadh DC.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or issues with inbound shipments.
  • Maintain cool chain.
  • Maintain warehouse inventory, Maintain FEFO and keep products in appropriate location.
  • Create cash voucher for employees.
  • Prepare vacation plan
  • Maintain all necessary documents of MHE and external employees.
  • Prepare the Bayan for trucks.
  • Sets direction for sustainability to ensure consistently energy and resource improvements and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Contributes to the deliver department’s financial performance targets.
  • Audit the First Aid Box and Participate in first Aid & fire fighter training. Provide first aid to employees/ team member if require.
  • Follow Arla uniform policy.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Possess sound knowledge of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and trucks.


Educational background/Experience

  • Skilled education within logistics, Warehousing or equivalent.
  • +2 years of experience with handling of goods, preferably food products.
  • Have basic understanding about machinery/ equipment’s/ fleet used in the warehouse. Coordinate with relevant functions to keep timely maintenance of material handling equipment’s.
  • General Competencies : English and IT skills on an Intermediate level
  • MS Office Applications intermediate level (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook)
  • Power BI Basic level
  • AI Basic knowledge
  • SAP Applications Intermediate Level (EWM, ERP (ECC), BW Report, RFUI
