The Transport Supervisor at The TAQ Organization plays a crucial role in managing the daily transportation operations at the customer site in Faisalabad. This position involves overseeing the timely dispatch and placement of vehicles, ensuring smooth coordination with a team of drivers, and maintaining high standards of safety and operational discipline. The supervisor leads a dedicated team of 10 personnel, guiding and supporting them to ensure the efficient execution of delivery schedules and the handling of transport documentation. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to resolve operational challenges promptly to maintain continuous and reliable logistics service.

In addition to managing vehicle movements and coordinating logistics activities, the Transport Supervisor is responsible for conducting vehicle inspections, supervising loading and unloading tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures throughout the transport process. The role demands close attention to detail, proficiency in fleet management software, and the capability to maintain accurate records such as delivery documents and proofs of delivery. The supervisor also oversees vehicle maintenance schedules, monitors the validity of vehicle documents, and coordinates renewals, ensuring the fleet remains fully operational and compliant with all transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day transport operations to ensure timely and successful delivery of goods according to customer requirements.
• Plan and organize vehicle dispatches based on daily delivery schedules, optimizing route planning and vehicle availability.
• Coordinate closely with drivers to confirm vehicle placement, trip departures, and on-time deliveries while maintaining continuous communication during transit.
• Monitor real-time vehicle movement using tracking systems to ensure adherence to planned routes and detect any deviations promptly.
• Communicate detailed route and trip instructions clearly to drivers, ensuring understanding of delivery priorities and safety requirements.
• Conduct pre-dispatch vehicle inspections either through company inspection applications or manual checks to confirm vehicle readiness.
• Supervise the loading and unloading processes, verifying correct quantities and ensuring goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols during all stages of transport, maintaining a safe environment for staff and goods.
• Prepare, manage, and verify transport documentation including Bilty, Gate Passes, and delivery records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure timely collection, verification, and submission of Proof of Delivery (POD), scanning and accurately entering delivery data into transport management systems.
• Maintain effective communication channels with drivers and on-site teams to quickly identify and resolve any delays, breakdowns, or operational issues.
• Coordinate routine maintenance schedules for vehicles, promptly reporting faults and facilitating repairs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor the expiration dates of vehicle-related documents and coordinate the renewal process through management to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Lead and manage a transport team of 10 personnel, providing guidance, supervision, and support to enhance team performance and operational efficiency.
• Utilize fleet management software and inventory management systems to maintain accurate records and improve logistics coordination.
• Employ problem-solving techniques to address and resolve operational challenges, ensuring continuous improvement in transport processes.
