RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Material Receiving & Inspection
- Perform detailed visual inspections of received materials to verify quality, quantity, condition, and documentation (e.g., Certificates of Conformity, Testing Certificates).
- Develop and maintain understanding of key materials’ descriptions and functions to support Operations and Maintenance.
- Create Material Receiving Reports for compliant items or issue Receiving Rejection Reports for non-compliant items.
- Update Master Sheet with received stock data.
Inventory Management & Storage
- Organize materials by category and store them in designated warehouse locations.
- Process stock requests according to Stock Issue Requests or Maximo procedures.
- Distribute materials to departments based on established schedules.
- Take necessary actions for disposal of scrap materials following company procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement quality control procedures to prevent shortages or surpluses.
Warehouse Operations & Team Supervision
- Oversee and manage warehouse operations, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and capabilities.
- Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure proper organization and distribution of furniture and equipment.
- Prepare and update contractor timesheets, document services, review discounts, and ensure compliance with agreements.
Logistics & Distribution
- Coordinate transportation and distribution to ensure timely arrival of materials and services.
- Address logistical challenges impacting workflow and collaborate with teams to meet operational needs.
- Handle supply chain operations efficiently and effectively.
Reporting & Compliance
- Communicate with units to deliver tools requiring calibration to the warehouse.
- Conduct quarterly, semi-annual, and annual warehouse inventories.
- Develop strategies based on company needs and priorities.
Collaboration & Communication
- Possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure operational goals are met.
Safety Responsibilities
- Promote a positive safety culture within the workplace and attend any safety-related meetings or briefings as required within the job role.
- Comply with the requirements of RDMC RQHSE Policy and Safety Management System.
- Be mindful that Safety, Security, and Environmental protection are everyone’s responsibility.
- All staff members are accountable for reporting and intervening in any Safety, Security, or Environmental violations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
- Proficiency in forklift operation with relevant competency certificates.
- Completion of materials handling training and appropriate Health & Safety certification.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Exceptional attention to detail and adept time management skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Understanding of standard practices and concepts within stockroom or warehouse environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in bookkeeping and inventory management principles.
- Competent in IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of pertinent experience in warehouse and inventory management.
