The Middle School Teacher is responsible for teaching Science and Math to both 7th and 8th grade students, as well as Religion to the 7th grade. The teacher will foster a classroom environment that supports academic excellence, faith formation, and social-emotional development. The ideal candidate will help students develop the knowledge, skills, and values needed for a successful transition to high school and lifelong learning.
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in Science and Math for 7th and 8th grades, and Religion for 7th grade.
Foster a faith-filled, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment in alignment with Catholic values.
Design and implement lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative learning.
Assess student progress regularly through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
Support the academic, spiritual, and social-emotional growth of students during a pivotal stage of development.
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administration regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Prepare students for a successful transition to high school, including study skills, time management, and personal responsibility.
Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and faculty meetings.
Uphold school policies, procedures, and the mission of Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic School.
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
Valid teaching credential or working toward certification.
Practicing Catholic with the ability to teach Religion preferred (for Religion teaching responsibilities).
Prior experience teaching middle school students is strongly preferred.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for Catholic education and student-centered learning.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
