Long-Term Before & After Care Nanny - Marlboro, NJ

Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00/6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Location: Marlboro, NJ
Ages of children: 6-year-old, boy & 12-year-old, girl
Compensation Package:

• $27 to $30 per hour (on the books W2)
• 2-weeks PTO (after 90-days probation)
• Sick Leave per NJ Law
• Federal Holiday Paid Off
• Mileage Reimbursement for transporting children

Job description:

A warm, structured, and values-driven single mother in Marlboro, NJ is seeking a long-term, committed nanny to become a trusted part of her household. This position is ideal for a nurturing yet firm caregiver who enjoys helping children grow into responsible, confident, and respectful young people.

This family values faith, structure, respect, education, and clear communication, and is looking for a nanny who aligns with those principles.

Primary Responsibilities

Morning Routine (Primary Focus)

• Wake and prepare the 6-year-old for school.
• Prepare a healthy breakfast for the 6-year-old.
• Walk to the school bus or drive to school if running late.

Afternoon & Evening Support

• Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday school pickups:
• Homework assistance for the 6-year-old
• Prepare children for evening activities:
• Son’s tutoring
• Daughter’s karate

Household Support (Child-Related)

• Maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Encourage children to clean up after themselves.
• Be a good steward of the home and model responsibility.

The mother hopes her children will bond and build trust with the nanny and values an open, anxiety-free working relationship with clear communication.

Ideal Nanny Personality & Qualifications

• Calm, patient, and not short-tempered.
• Firm but warm — not overly strict.
• A lifelong learner who inspires curiosity
• Neat, tidy, and organized (home organization is very important)
• Friendly, respectful, and emotionally mature
• Familiarity with Black/African culture strongly preferred for representation in the home.

Requirements:

• Preferred 5-6 years professional childcare experience.
• Experience working with school-age & teenagers.
• Reliable & safe vehicle
• Valid Driver’s License & Insurance
• Comfortable transporting children in personal vehicle
• Comfortable with a background check
• Authorized to work in the US.
