OVERVIEW:

Infinium Pharmacy is a privately owned and independently operated, Long Term Care Pharmacy, dedicated to meeting the growing need for personalized pharmaceutical care in Skilled and Assisted Living facilities.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Order-Entry Technician performs day-to-day duties under the supervision of the Data Entry Coordinator in accordance with established pharmacy principles, polices, and procedures and/or law.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

• Entering of patient information & prescription orders
• Customer Service (answering phones, contacting physician offices and insurance companies)
• Printing monthly sheets and/or reports
• Prescription Fulfillment
• Resolving daily insurance claim rejections
• Other Duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Education

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Missouri Pharmacy Technician License
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred

Qualifications

• Long Term Care experience, preferred
• Microsoft Office knowledge
• Typing and/or data entry skills
• Basic computer, email & faxing knowledge
• Great attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
• Superior organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment/self-driven
• Ability to take direction

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Continually required to sit for up to 10 hours/day
• Continually utilize visual acuity to read fine and/or small print, and to work off a computer screen for up to 10 hours/day
• Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds
• Having a range of motion from kneeling to bending over to raising arms above head to occasionally retrieve stock
• Travel: 0%-5% (facility visits may be required on occasion but should not require any overnight stays)

A background check and pre-employment drug screen is required.

Experience:

• LTC pharmacy: 1 year (Preferred)
• Prescription Entry: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Missouri Pharmacy Technician License (Preferred)
