Long Term Partnership: Nurturing Career Nanny!

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Start: May/June

Schedule: Monday–Friday, roughly 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (guaranteed 45 hrs/week; occasional short weekend hours)

Compensation: $38–$50/hr

Driver required (family provides the car)

Travel: Domestic and international travel with advance notice

Language: Fluent English required

Bilingual preferred — Mandarin highest priority, Spanish secondary — but not required.

About the family: This is a warm, loving Palo Alto family searching for a long-term nanny to become a trusted, steady presence for their infant son. They are gentle, thoughtful first-time parents who value closeness, trust, and a collaborative relationship with the caregiver. Their household is bright and spacious (two-level home, 4 bedrooms, 2 home offices), and they’re planning to grow their family in the future. The parents are affectionate, engaged, and eager to learn from an experienced caregiver; they genuinely want someone who will love and make their son feel secure.

The role: You will be the primary caregiver for an infant, bringing kind, consistent daily structure, developmental engagement, and a warm, joyful presence. The family appreciates predictability and a thoughtful routine that supports autonomy and compassionate learning. When the child naps, light household tasks (laundry, tidying of toys) are helpful.

**The family travels and hopes to include their nanny on trips with good advance notice — they make these trips fun and cover travel costs.

Who they’re looking for:

- Minimum 8+ years of professional nanny experience.

- Deeply nurturing, attentive, and committed to making the child feel safe and loved.

- Energetic to medium-high energy — someone who brings warmth, playfulness, and engagement (low energy may not be the best fit for the household dynamics).

- Highly organized, punctual, detail-oriented, tidy, and a clear communicator.

- Collaborative, with a good sense of humor and the ability to support and gently guide first-time parents.

- Comfortable with increasing household management responsibilities as the family grows.

- Bilingual skills a plus (Mandarin preferred, then Spanish); fluent English required.

Required qualifications (you will be required to submit the following through the process)

- Up-to-date on vaccinations, including COVID-19 (boosted).

- Authorized to work in the U.S.

- Minimum 8 years paid nanny experience.

- Valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record.

- Current CPR and First Aid certification.

- Clear criminal background check.
