Whether covering for a teacher on leave or providing flexible classroom support, your contribution will be vital in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence.

Essential Job Functions

  • Fill in as a Lower School Teacher.
  • Follow and deliver lesson plans effectively.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Use appropriate instructional methods and materials to meet lesson goals.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Support curriculum goals and student learning objectives.
  • Communicate respectfully and confidentially with students, families, staff, and the public.
  • Celebrate student progress and achievements.
  • Help students understand their learning differences and build problem-solving and life skills.
  • Support experiential learning activities for students at all developmental levels.
  • Assist with Owl’s Nest, driveline, and after-school clubs as needed.
  • Complete daily reports and document classroom activities.
  • Communicate with parents through proper channels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Minimum Requirements, Credentials, and Experience

· Identified classroom experience and teaming experience

· Flexible traits that will thrive in a new learning environment;

· Demonstrated interest or expertise in working with students with autism and/or related neurodiversities;

· Demonstrated experience in the instruction of students with varied learning styles and levels of mastery.

· Demonstrated ability to work well with families;

· Ability to work effectively as a team member;

· Willingness to be held accountable for student results;

· Ability to evaluate tests and measurements of achievement;

· Successfully pass a criminal background check.

· BA in an education or related field.

· Clean driving record

Preferred Credentials, and Experience

· Possession of a valid Teaching License in an education field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
