Job Summary: The EOL Elementary Teacher develops and delivers engaging online and in-person instruction aligned with district curriculum standards while supporting the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of elementary students. This role includes assessing student progress, providing individualized feedback and academic support, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success. The teacher serves as both an instructor and mentor by maintaining regular communication with students and families, conducting individualized support meetings, and guiding students in developing strong learning habits and academic skills. Additionally, the EOL Elementary Teacher collaborates with colleagues, participates in professional development, manages the EOL workroom environment, and supports the overall mission and goals of the online learning program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lesson plans and online course content aligned with district curriculum and curriculum standards.

Differentiate instruction and provide individualized support to meet the diverse learning needs of students in both online and in-person settings.

Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, evaluate student work, provide timely and constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in accordance with school policies.

Use evidence-based instructional strategies to ensure effective instruction, high student engagement, and continuous improvement in student performance.

Serve as the Teacher of Record for online courses by maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging online learning environment conducive to student success.

Conduct virtual and/or in-person tutoring sessions and provide academic support to students as needed.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress, academic expectations, and student success strategies.

Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve course materials, instructional strategies, and student learning experiences.

Participate in faculty meetings, EOL teacher meetings, trainings, professional development activities, and school events as required.

Manage the in-person EOL workroom located in the library during designated portions of the school day.

Provide assistance and support to students accessing online coursework and resources in the EOL workroom while ensuring a productive, respectful, and collaborative learning atmosphere.

Serve as the primary point of contact, mentor, and personal learning coach for a designated group of students.

Conduct weekly online meetings with assigned mentees to discuss academic progress, goal-setting, study skills, and strategies for success as an online learner.

Provide individualized guidance and support through one-on-one meetings to assist students in navigating academic challenges and setting academic and career goals.

Foster positive relationships with students and advocate for their academic growth, engagement, and overall success.

Qualifications:

Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Elementary K-6 required
