A long-established long/short equity investment firm with a multi-billion-dollar platform is seeking a senior Equity Analyst to join its Consumer investing team.

The role is focused exclusively on Restaurants & Leisure , including restaurants, hotels, casinos, recreation, and broader discretionary leisure. This is a specialist position and not a consumer generalist role. The firm is looking for someone with deep sector experience who can drive the research process end-to-end and consistently generate actionable investment ideas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research across Restaurants & Leisure subsectors
• Build detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment theses
• Generate differentiated long and short ideas with clear risk/reward profiles
• Monitor positions and industry developments on an ongoing basis
• Collaborate closely with senior investors in a focused, idea-driven environment

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of experience in long/short equity, buy-side or sell-side equity research
• Demonstrated depth in Restaurants, Leisure, or discretionary consumer sectors
• Strong analytical foundation in accounting, corporate finance, and valuation
• Proven ability to translate research into profitable investment decisions
• Comfortable operating in a high-accountability, performance-driven setting
