Who You Are:

You are a hands-on Looker Migration Specialist with direct experience migrating dashboards and reporting environments from Tableau to Google Looker. You understand the technical, architectural, and business considerations required to successfully transition BI platforms, including rebuilding Tableau dashboards in LookML, optimizing data models in BigQuery, and validating data accuracy post-migration. You are comfortable working closely with business stakeholders to translate existing Tableau logic into scalable Looker solutions and ensuring a smooth cutover with minimal disruption.

At the Consultant-level, you will be expected to independently contribute ideas, recommendations, and solutions toward solving business challenges, construct key components of deliverables/presentations, and contribute to the development of Intellectual Capital (IC) and Marketing Collateral. You will serve as a team leader for individual work streams and acquire a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s expertise, product set, and capabilities. Role and Responsibilities:

You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above.

• Lead and execute end-to-end migrations from Tableau to Google Looker and Qlik, including architecting with internal and client teams on dashboard creation, data model redesign, and validation.
• Analyze existing Tableau reports, calculations, and data sources and translate them into optimized LookML models and Explores.
• Collaborate with data engineers to align BigQuery datasets with Looker reporting requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and user adoption throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Support testing, reconciliation, and stakeholder sign-off for migrated dashboards.
• Document migration processes, best practices, and technical architecture.
• Decompose key business problems to identify value areas and structure and implement complex technology solutions for the client.
• Supporting the development of improved capabilities in clients across business processes, people and technology.
• Developing business cases and implementation roadmaps to support investment decisions.
• Identify and qualify additional business opportunities
• Prepare solutions and proposals and present to clients

Required Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of hands-on data engineering or BI experience, Tableau.

• BI Migration experience from Tableau to Looker

• BI Migration experience from Tableau to Qlik

• Strong expertise in LookML development and Google BigQuery.

• Looker solution Architect experience and LookML Development

• Proficiency in SQL and experience validating large-scale data transformations.

• Experience working in GCP environments supporting analytics and reporting solutions.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders during migration initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field

• Prior consulting experience –in an agile environment – with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firm

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred
• Past success in generating new business with existing clients
• Good time management skills
• Certification in GCP (or other cloud environments) is highly desirable
