Job Summary
CRS Mechanical Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC technician with proven experience (5+ years) in service, installation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and light commercial projects in and around surrounding areas in Illinois: Minooka, Channahon, Shorewood, Joliet, Lockport, Romeoville, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Oswego, Montgomery, Plano, Yorkville, Newark, Morris, Mazon, Gardner, Essex, Braidwood, Coal City, Wilmington, Manhattan, and New Lenox. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans, and be able to complete required paperwork and documentation. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, humidifiers, air scrubbers, mini-split units, ductwork, retro fitting, water heaters.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately execute projects.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance (service calls) on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; perform electrical repairs as needed.
• Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports; communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding system status and repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC systems
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and a reliable way to commute to the shop
• Must be authorization to work in US
• Live within 100 miles of Minooka, IL
• Prefer application to have a refrigeration card/certification, EPA Type II License/Certification
