Summary: You will be part in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace by following and enforcing company policies and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include documenting incidents through detailed reports and participating in various activities aimed at preventing accidents and minimizing losses. Your primary position will be at the guard post, where you will serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, transportation carriers, and other personnel entering the site. In this capacity, you will verify their identification and purpose for being on the premises. You will also ensure that they have the appropriate credentials and resources needed for their visit.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas including sales floor, stockrooms, warehouses, parking lots, and entry/exit points to detect and deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access

  • Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems, alarm monitoring equipment, and visual observation to identify suspicious behavior and potential security threats

  • Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations including theft, disturbances, medical emergencies, and safety hazards in accordance with company protocols

  • Perform checks, receipt verifications, and exit inspections to prevent merchandise theft and ensure compliance with loss prevention policies

  • Document all incidents, observations, and security activities through detailed written reports, logs, and incident documentation systems

  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and management when incidents require external intervention or escalation

  • Conduct internal investigations regarding suspected theft, fraud, or policy violations by employees, vendors, or customers

  • Inspect and test security equipment including cameras, alarms, locks, and access control systems to ensure proper functionality

  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence that promotes a safe shopping and working environment

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in criminal justice, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience, Preferred
  • 1- 2 years of Safety, Security, and Loss Prevention experience is required
  • First Aid or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Valid Driver’s License, Preferred

Work Environment:

This position is located in an active industrial distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.

Pay: Hourly $17.00-$21.00

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 8am-430pm
