LOVING PART-TIME NANNY/ FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED IN OAKLAND, CA

This loving and active family is seeking a reliable and caring nanny/family assistant to join their household. They have a 6-year-old child who thrives in a structured, nurturing, and fun environment. They are open to a candidate who wants to be a traditional nanny or a hybrid nanny that includes childcare and household management tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, attentive childcare on a daily basis.
• Engage the child in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and emotional development.
• Assist with getting the child ready for after-school programs, activities, and pick-ups.
• Transport the child to and from afterschool programs, activities, or appointments.
• Prepare meals, and snacks and cook for the child, ensuring they meet nutritional needs.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the child’s spaces, including the room, play area, and closet.
• Communicate openly with the family about the child’s day, activities, and concerns.
• Follow the family’s routines and instructions consistently.
Help with light household chores

Qualifications & Requirements:

• At least 3 years of nanny experience with school-age children
• At least 2 years of Family Assistant experience
• Proven experience in childcare, ideally as a nanny, caregiver, or in a child development role.
• Knowledgeable about child developmental milestones and stages.
• Engaging, creative, and enthusiastic about fostering a child’s growth and development.
• Ability to build a strong, trusting relationship with the child.
• Fluent in English & has strong communication skills (native speaker preferred).
• Well-organized, clean, and able to manage light housekeeping duties (maintaining the child’s spaces and preparing meals).
• Flexibility with hours
• Responsible, reliable, and proactive.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Recent COVID vaccinations, negative TB test (within the last 2 years), Tdap, MMR, CPR/First Aid, and recent flu vaccine.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and a reliable vehicle for school pickups.
Must pass a comprehensive background check.
