Low Loader Driver Class 1

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Low loader Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of machines across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all safety regulations. Duties

• Operate low loader truck and to transport compmay plant to designated locations
• Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in safe working condition
• Secure loads properly to prevent movement during transit
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
• Communicate with line manger regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road
• Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
• Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed

Requirements

• Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, preferably with low loader or specialised transportation experience
• Knowledge of current driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively on tight schedules
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently and responsibly in various weather conditions and environments
• Prior experience with commercial driving equipment is highly essential
